Decorative vintage demi lune cabinet finished in a soft ivory tone with hand painted Chinoiserie decoration throughout. The curved front features delicate birds amongst flowering branches, framed by geometric lattice panels and metallic gilt toned mouldings. Further painted decoration continues across the top, with fluted detailing to the central stile and traditional decorative hardware to the twin doors. The cabinet opens to reveal internal shelving. The combination of birds, florals, patterned borders and gilt toned detailing draws from traditional Chinese inspired decorative arts popularised in European Chinoiserie interiors. Wear consistent with age and use, including surface marks, rubbing, small losses and general wear to the painted finish as pictured.
