A substantial round dining table by Theodore Alexander, crafted from mahogany and mahogany veneers with a beautifully figured flame mahogany top arranged in a radial sunburst pattern. The elaborate base draws on Jacobean and William & Mary design, with large barley twist columns, turned and fluted supports and a cross-form base terminating in carved scroll feet. Finished with a finely carved foliate border around the tabletop. Includes a removable protective glass top. A beautifully made piece with generous proportions, comfortably seating six. Vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use.
