A beautifully carved vintage Italian Savonarola style stool with a classic X-frame base, fluted rails, turned stretchers and carved acanthus leaf detailing. The frame is finished in a softly aged parcel gilt with a warm timber undertone. The seat retains its original damask upholstery in rich russet and antique gold, finished with decorative braid trim. The traditional woven fabric complements the Renaissance inspired design beautifully. Wear to the parcel gilt finish is consistent with age and use, adding to its overall appeal.
