A charming pair of vintage glazed ceramic spaniel figures finished in a mottled charcoal, grey and cream glaze with hand-painted facial details. Their seated pose, flowing coats and expressive faces make them a classic decorative pair, inspired by the Victorian and Staffordshire tradition of ornamental spaniels. Originally made as mantel and fireside ornaments, they are equally at home today styled on a bookshelf, console, sideboard or amongst a collection of decorative objects.
