A vintage pair of hand carved guardian lions in pale celadon toned stone, each raised on a stepped plinth base. Traditionally positioned at entrances as symbols of protection and prosperity, these two feature beautifully detailed manes, expressive faces and a strong, grounded stance. The soft green stone carries natural veining throughout, giving depth and tonal variation unique to each piece. Solid and weighty at just over 1kg each and standing 14cm high, they have wonderful presence without overpowering a space. Perfect for a console, bookshelf or layered mantel moment. Mid to late 20th century. Sold as a pair.
