A vintage mid century ceramic horse statue depicting a rearing horse, finished in a high gloss charcoal grey glaze with softly graduated green, cream and coral tones to the base and hooves. The horse is modelled with its front legs raised and mane swept back, supported by a moulded grass-form base. A great example of the decorative ceramic animal figures popular throughout the mid 20th century, with the graduated glaze giving it a distinctly retro feel. Good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use. Unmarked to the base.
