Vintage Persian Handmade Senneh / Bijar Style Rug [160x110cm]

Beautiful and finely patterned Persian rug with a deep indigo field and an all-over repeating boteh motif, framed by a classic rosette border in rust and soft blue. This tight, small-scale design is typical of Senneh style rugs, though it leans toward the heavier, more robust feel you see in Bijar pieces. Handknotted wool with a low/medium pile. The colours have softened beautifully with age, giving it a lived-in look. Fringe to both ends with wear consistent with age, particularly to the edges and corners, adding to its character. A great smaller scale piece, ideal for an entry, hallway or at the end of a bed. In beautiful condition.
