A vintage handwoven Persian tribal runner attributed to the Qashqai weaving tradition of Fars Province in southwestern Iran. The rich red field features three large geometric medallions in deep indigo and soft ivory tones, surrounded by a dense arrangement of traditional geometric, floral, bird, insect and animal motifs. Finished with a finely patterned geometric border and fringed ends. Hand knotted in wool, with the irregularity and variation characteristic of tribal weaving. Vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use.
