A beautiful vintage hand knotted wool rug in the Caucasian Kazak tradition, featuring bold geometric medallions surrounded by smaller floral, animal and symbolic motifs. Woven in a warm terracotta, faded aubergine, muted sage, ochre and ivory palette, with multiple geometric borders and lovely variation throughout the hand-drawn design. A great smaller size for an entry, beside a bed or layered into a larger room. Vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use.
