A vintage floor lamp with a tall black metal column, brass detailing and a white opaline glass globe shade. The design has a strong 1970s European Mid Century Modern influence, with the combination of black metal, brass and spherical opaline glass typical of lighting from the period. Set on a substantial square brass base with stepped circular detailing, the slender column is finished with brass collars and a simple globe holder. The opaline glass shade gives a soft diffused light when illuminated. Shows wear consistent with age and use, including tarnishing, marks and surface wear to the brass, along with minor wear to the black finish.
