A well-proportioned extendable dining table with classic French Provincial influence, featuring a gently shaped apron, cabriole legs, and subtle carved detailing to the knees and centre giving the silhouette a soft, elegant movement. The table opens to reveal its extension mechanism, with solid brass hardware underneath that speaks to its quality and construction. The mechanism is a little stiff, however it does extend with some gentle force, with this reflected in the price. Finished in a warm, rich timber tone with a lovely natural grain throughout. Light surface marks consistent with age and use; nothing that detracts from its overall presentation. Sourced from Denmark.
UPDATED LISTING DETAILS: Originally listed at $1,150.00, this table has been reduced as we noticed the issues with extension is on account of some damage to the catch/mechanism on the underside of the table. The extension still works, it just requires a little force to open. If you intend on using the table un-extended/closed, or only intend on extending on rare occasions and can therefore tolerate the issues with the mechanism, this is an excellent score! Sold as is.
