A vintage Russian oil painting depicting a coastal view across the Sea of Marmara, with rocky outcrops rising from calm blue water and a distant shoreline beyond. Painted in a muted palette of soft blues, ochres and earthy tones, with an atmospheric, almost impressionistic quality. Signed and inscribed lower right in Cyrillic, with an old label to the frame reading “Suadiye - Sea of Marmara”, identifying the view as the coastline around Suadiye, Istanbul. Presented in its original gilt-toned frame with a fabric-lined inner border. There is considerable age-related wear to the painting, including surface loss, flaking, fading and marks throughout. The frame also shows rubbing, losses and general wear consistent with age. The condition has been reflected in the price.
