A lovely Danish landscape by R. Pedersen, depicting a rural farmhouse beyond a quiet stretch of water, framed by tall trees in the foreground. Painted in a restrained palette of soft greens, blues and earthy browns, with a lovely muted quality typical of Scandinavian landscape painting. Signed “R. Pedersen” lower right and housed in an ornate gilt and bronze-toned floral frame. There is craquelure and general wear to the painted surface consistent with age, along with wear and marks to the frame. Circa early-mid 20th century.
