A solid antique Baltic pine sideboard with beautifully carved panel doors and a warm, honey toned patina developed over time. Pieces like this were made across Northern Europe around the turn of the century and were built to be practical, hardworking cupboards for the dining room. The front features two drawers with brass pulls above a double door cupboard. The doors are decorated with hand carved foliate scrolls and a central flower motif. Inside are simple pine shelves, the back is constructed from vertical pine boards, a traditional method typical of earlier cabinetmaking. The timber is classic Baltic pine with wide boards, knots and natural variation that gives it that soft golden colour. A great practical size that works equally well as a dining room sideboard, hallway cupboard or even styled as a bar.
