An impressive pair of antique Chinese cast brass pricket candlesticks, each intricately modelled as a three headed dragon rising from a lobed base. Featuring detailed scaled bodies, elaborate dragon heads and three graduated candle prickets, including a dramatically elongated central stem. The traditional hollow cast construction and wonderfully aged surfaces give the pair plenty of character. Beautiful natural patination throughout with areas of verdigris, oxidation, casting irregularities and wear consistent with age and use. Late 19th / early 20th century.
