An elegant pair of antique French patinated spelter urns dating to the late 19th century, each raised on rouge marble and black stone bases. Beautifully cast in the Neoclassical taste, the urns feature finely detailed allegorical figures in relief, scrolling handles with acanthus leaf decoration and parcel-gilt highlights. A beautiful pair for a mantel, console or sideboard, or displayed beneath a mirror. Wear consistent with age and use, including minor rubbing to the patinated and gilt finish, together with small nibbles and natural wear to the stone bases.
