A beautiful pair of French girandole table lamps that I sourced from a French antique shop in the French Quarter, Montreal. Each lamp is formed in the classic three light candelabra style, with cast brass scrolling arms dressed with faceted crystal drops and spear prisms. A clear crystal baluster stem rises from a carved onyx base with soft natural veining, set into a weighted brass foot.
The brass has aged to a warm, mellow patina, while the crystal elements catch and refract the light beautifully when illuminated. Both lamps retain their original rear twist switch, a characteristic detail of French table lamps from the interwar period.
Recently rewired to Australian standards by a qualified electrician and sold fully functional. Supplied with the globes as shown. Paired here with a beautiful green velvet clip-on shade - shades sold separately. Price is for the pair.
