A beautifully preserved Orient Line playing card set produced for passengers travelling between London and Australia during the golden age of ocean liner travel. This complete double deck is housed in its original illustrated card slipcase, along with the original outer box, both bearing the Orient Line crest and period typography.

Dating to the early 20th century, circa 1910–1930, the set was made as a refined onboard leisure item for long sea voyages, reflecting the elegance and ritual of Edwardian to interwar travel. The circular cards feature richly coloured ship and heraldic designs to the reverse, gilt edge with classic court illustrations to the face, making the set as decorative as it is functional.

The boxes show surface wear, softened edges and small losses consistent with age, while the cards themselves display gentle handling wear but remain complete and well presented. These signs of use are typical of an item of this era and add to its authenticity and charm. A rare survival as a full set, particularly appealing for collectors of travel ephemera, maritime history, or classic games with a story behind them.
