A substantial Louis XV style dining table featuring a Carrara marble top set upon an ornately carved mahogany toned timber base. Raised on scrolling tripod cabriole legs with carved acanthus detailing and a boldly carved central pedestal. The circular Carrara marble top showcases soft natural grey veining throughout, creating a timeless contrast against the warmth of the polished timber base and carved gadrooned apron. The marble top lifts off from the base for easier transport and installation. A beautiful dining table of generous proportions, comfortably seating six to eight people and suited to both traditional and contemporary interiors. The marble has a few minor edge nibbles, with the remainder presenting in excellent condition. Minor marks and wear to the timber base as photographed. One of a matching pair.
