A beautiful antique Victorian footstool featuring its original hand-beaded tapestry top, worked in a soft floral bouquet of roses and pansies against a deep ground. The beadwork sits within the tradition of Berlin woolwork, with a slightly muted palette that comes with age. Finished with a rope trim and set on a solid timber base with a gently moulded edge. Dating to the late 19th century, circa 1880–1900. Marks, fraying and fading consistent with age. Refer photos.
