A beautifully detailed late 19th century dining table cruet stand in silver plate, complete with five etched glass bottles. Raised on a pedestal base and finished with an engraved band of ivy, ferns and fruiting vines, this piece has all the hallmarks of proper Victorian tableware. The cast handle is delicately pierced with florals and scrollwork, allowing the stand to be carried gracefully from sideboard to table. The five original bottles include oil and vinegar decanters with hand-cut stoppers, along with matching salt, pepper and mustard pots with silver plated lids. The glass is wheel etched with simple foliate decoration and sits neatly within the circular frame. The silver plate shows gentle wear consistent with age, adding softness and authenticity without detracting from its presentation. The glass appears original to the stand.
