A beautiful pair of antique English Royal Doulton stoneware candlesticks dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910. Decorated in rich cobalt blue and olive green glazes, each featuring a spirally moulded column with raised beaded detailing, above a circular spreading base adorned with floral swags, bows and delicate decorative motifs. The contrasting colours and richly glazed surfaces are characteristic of Royal Doulton's highly regarded art pottery of the period. Both retain impressed Royal Doulton factory marks to their undersides, including the crowned lion emblem and shape number 3020. In antique condition with minor surface marks, glaze imperfections and wear consistent with age and use. Sold as a pair.
