Late Victorian display cabinet dating to around 1880–1890, with mahogany construction, richly figured burr walnut veneer and contrasting dark inlaid detailing. The tall glazed door appears to retain its original rippled glass, with the subtle movement and irregularity characteristic of early glass. Decorative details include a shaped architectural crest, carved scrollwork, figured veneer panels and turned bun feet. Internally fitted with three adjustable timber shelves. The cabinet shows wear consistent with age and use, including losses and wear to areas of veneer, knocks, marks and surface wear. Historic woodworm holes are also present, consistent with the age of the piece. No key is present, however the door still opens and closes.
