An elegant antique Louis XVI style trumeau mirror, c.1900, featuring a bevelled mirror plate beneath an applied gilt floral basket and ribbon crest. Finished with beaded and twisted mouldings. The beautifully aged mirror plate has developed attractive foxing and spotting over time, while the original wide-plank timber backing remains intact, reflecting the mirror’s age and craftsmanship. A beautiful statement piece above a console, fireplace or sideboard. Wear consistent with age and use, including foxing to the mirror plate, age-related wear and minor losses to the gilt finish as photographed.
