An impressive late 19th century Victorian oak serving table in the Baronial style, featuring elaborate hand carved decoration with Renaissance Revival influences. The rectangular top is finished with a carved moulded edge and raised gallery, centred by a foliate mask surrounded by scrolling foliage. Below are two generous drawers decorated with carved winged creatures, floral roundels and scrolling motifs, divided by grotesque mask carvings. Raised on substantial turned and carved front legs with square rear supports. A generously proportioned piece, equally suited to a dining room, entrance hall or as a decorative display table. In antique condition with wear consistent with age and use, including surface marks, variations to the timber finish and evidence of historic repairs.
