An ornate antique fire tool set dating to the late 19th or early 20th century, with brass and dark steel construction and decorative floral detailing throughout. The freestanding brass holder features a heavy cast scalloped base with embossed foliate decoration, echoed in the ornate finial handles of each tool. The set retains its original shovel, tongs and brush, together with the original stand. One fire tool is missing from the original set and this has been reflected in the price. Lovely aged brass finish with patina, surface wear and marks consistent with age and use. All remaining components are original.
