A lovely late 19th century pine corner cabinet sourced from Denmark. Designed to sit neatly into the corner of a room, it provides a beautiful space to display plates, glassware or collected objects. The cabinet has glazed double doors with fine timber glazing bars forming an elongated diamond pattern, with each pane of glass individually set into the frame. A dentil moulded cornice sits across the top, giving the piece a subtle classical detail. Inside, the cabinet retains its warm ochre painted interior, a colour traditionally used in cupboards to reflect light and show off porcelain and ceramics. The shaped corner shelves provide plenty of display space and work particularly well for plates. Made from solid pine with a lovely warm tone and patina developed over time. The cabinet stands on a shaped plinth base and has a great sense of age and character throughout.
