Beautiful small vintage hand-knotted Persian Baluchi carpet in deep brown, deep orange, soft red and dark charcoal tones. Signs of wear as expected with age. The rug retains excellent clarity of colour with no note-worthy fading. Signs of repair, as indicated by a well-concealed seam near the approximate centre of the carpet (better visible from the back, as indicated in images). This carpet was likely a runner originally that has been cut down to a smaller 'mat' proportion. Perfect addition to an entryway, corridor, bedroom or even a bathroom. The resizing is expertly done, with impressive pattern matching to retain the original continuity of the border, medallions and other motifs.
