A rare and beautifully matched pair of hand-blown emerald green glass vases, each finely decorated in the Mary Gregory style with white enamel scenes of Victorian children. One vase shows a young boy at play with a hoop and flower, the other a girl carrying a basket — classic motifs of innocence and leisure from the late 19th century.

The raised white enamel decoration has been finely executed and remains crisp, fired onto the glass with delicate brushwork. The deep emerald glass itself carries the expected character of hand-blown 19th-century pieces, with natural variations and small bubbles in the body.

Please note: one vase has a small chip to the rim (see photos for more detail). This does not detract from the overall display, and the pair remains highly collectible. Condition reflected in price. Price is for the pair.
