An ornate single trumpet epergne vase with a tall clear glass trumpet held within an elaborate gilt metal base. The base features pierced foliate decoration, floral detailing and scrolling feet, with further decorative metalwork wrapping around the base of the glass trumpet. The tall glass vase has a fluted form opening to a scalloped rim. Inspired by the elaborate table centrepieces popular during the Victorian period, originally designed for displaying flowers at the centre of a dining table. Good vintage condition with general wear and tarnishing to the gilt metal consistent with age and use.
