A vintage Asian lacquered box finished in a deep, time softened red, raised on an integrated carved base with repeating decorative motifs. The elongated form and low profile making it ideal for console styling, shelving or as a decorative storage piece.
The lacquered surface shows wear, rubbing and small losses throughout, with darker undertones and areas of exposed timber visible around the edges and base. These marks are consistent with age and use and contribute to the character and layered look of the piece rather than detract from it. Wear consistent with age. Lid fits well.
