A striking 19th-century French armchair, hand-carved from solid oak with exquisite scrollwork and lion-head arms. The richly patinated timber showcases its age beautifully, with stretcher base and ornate cabriole legs typical of the period.
This beautiful antique is elegant, robust, and full of character and I have reupholstered it in a contemporary monochromatic "menagerie” velvet for a bold contrast, finished with antique brass studding.
