A substantial pair of vintage neoclassical wall brackets, crafted in timber with composite and gesso detailing and finished in a classic black and gilt scheme. Designed with a generous flat top, they function equally well as decorative corbels or practical wall shelves. The detailing includes dentil moulding, carved foliate blocks and fluted supports, all terminating in a rounded gilt drop. Being larger in scale than most wall shelves, they’re ideal flanking a mirror, artwork or doorway, or styled with objects, busts or lighting. Signs of wear consistent with age. Sold as a pair.
